THE VOICE OF MY EGO
I am human
I have come to be but man
It is no fault of mine that this is what I am
Part of being me is a term
EGO__ The part of me that makes me admire me
A constitute of my desire, opinion and perception
As human, I have value, no doubt
Beyond such as I have, I place value on me
Beyond such as I place on me, value is alluded me
Beyond such as is alluded me, a part of me demands value
All are because I am human
Denying this part of me is detrimental
To hype this part of me may be shameful
Nevertheless—I choose to acknowledge but not bask in it
I sometimes step out!
I sometimes step out of my Ego
Not because I am wrong
Not because I am not right
Not because I am not offended
Not because I am not angry
Not because I am not hurt
But because stepping out of my Ego Earns me respect
I put away
I put away my Ego
Not because I can’t prove how right I am
Not because I can’t defend myself
Not because I want to be vulnerable
But because in putting aside my Ego
I can understand people more
My admission to my ignorance
My being sorry
My deliberate silence
Do not assert that I am wrong or right
They only mean I choose to follow peace
I choose to learn
I choose to love
My Ego speaks,
My Choice, it is to heed or ignore
My choice it is, to be its victim or lord.
