One of the things anybody that want to taste greatness must avoid is CRITICISM, especially if you consider yourself to be very knowledgeable.
Your knowledge no doubt will make you see faults in men but your ability to restrain yourself from criticizing rather correcting in love is what will make you taste greatness.
The reason you are knowledgeable is not so you can be criticising but first for application to your own life, then to teach others from your experience. Those who criticise most are those who haven’t applied what they’ve learnt; There’s no way you practiced what you think you know and you won’t be touched with the feeling of the infirmities of the people you criticize.
One of the differences between Jesus and the Pharisees is not that he knew the law than they did, but because He was doing what He was teaching (Acts 1). Little wonder he was called “an high priest who was not out of touch with the reality because He has been through the weakness and testing, experienced it all (Heb. 4:15 MSG)”
Those who have experiential knowledge of a thing can’t criticise someone in it because they’ve been there and they understand. It is those that are full of information (Head Knowledge) but not application, that become critics.
Let’s not disguise it in what we call constructive criticism, criticism is criticism. Jesus will rather act and correct in love than use ‘constructive criticism approach’.
I discovered those who reach the full height aren’t those who criticise.
The people that parade themselves as very knowledgeable and became critics of others in ministry in 80’s are no where at the top today yet many are still alive.
Finding faults in what others do only, but not in yourself will kill you before your time.
Criticism is the sure way to death to such yet alive because you consider yourself more better than the person (people) you’re criticising so you can’t learn from them.
When you start criticising, you stop learning and when you stop, you stop growing and when you stop growing, you start to die
Say no criticism of all forms for your own growth. I believe this blessed you?
