Sweet HolySpirit of God we bless you for this precious moment and the grace to teach your people through me. We receive with meekness in our hearts, the engrafted words of God, which wields the capacity to save, deliver, rescue, and help our dying soul. We ask that beyond words, our hearts are spoken to, and beyond this medium, you would touch us right here and now where we are.

For in Jesus name we pray.
I know many of us are Familiar with the saying “Clash of Titans“… But Tonight we’d be addressing: CLASH OF INSTITUTIONS.

Yes, institutions. We are now living in a world whereby the institutions that has formed our personalities and such we have grown to know and such we have decided to accept does have a Clash of Interest.
I would like us to follow me, step by step as we evaluate the potency of what we have come to know, compared to the magnificence of what we have decided to get to know.

CULTURE: We were made to know is a way of life. It is further regarded as the arts, customs and habits that are particular to a society or nation.
This means that culture is a term used to address what Man and his offspring have over generation get themselves used to and have been doing.

For as many of us that have seen either of these movies; “Divergent and Hunger games“… You would agree with me that the kind of lives those within the walls lived was different from the kind of lives humans lived. It could be said that the environment and the necessary interaction to survive defined how they lived. And at such, if they continued like that we could say, that is their Culture.

Also, in our world today, what we call Culture and agree as the dictates of culture and traditions are the accumulation of a lifestyle of particular individuals who by reason of interaction with their immediate environment has developed for the sake of survival.
These ways and manner of living has then been handed down from one generation to another.

NOTE: Just as in the above cited movies, in which the people within the walls lived oblivious of the fact that there was a world out there and that there were some people who had fixed and placed them within those walls.

We also as humans have by the reason of familiarity with our environment become ignorant and oblivious of the fact that there is a God that has put us here on Earth. And at such; we got familiar with Culture before we ever started to know little or something about our God that has placed us where we are in the first instance.

INTELLECTUALISM:
The use or development of the Intellect. While Intellect is: the faculty of thinking, judging, abstract reasoning, and conceptual understanding; the cognitive faculty.

The Intrinsic necessity for survival and interaction with his environment drove man over the years, by the reason of Constant use to develop and advance the aspect of him that is wired and designed by God to think.
We must understand that thinking and reasoning are fundamental aspects of our soul that God gave us to interact with the physical realm.

In Genesis 1:27
God created man in his own image and his own likeness.
But in Genesis 2:5, the Scriptures recorded that; For the Lord God had not caused it to rain on the earth, and there was no man to till the ground; vs 6 but a mist went up from the earth and watered the whole face of the ground. vs 7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and Man became a living soul

We must understand that after man has been created in the realm of the spirit as a Spirit in Gen. 1:27. God needed man to till the ground, but the Spirituality of Man could not in anyway relate with the physical, so God had to create a containing entity that would house the Spirituality of Man, so he can relate with the earth. This is why our body was needfully created.

So we must know that it is not wrong for man to exercise his thinking and reasoning. It is only wrong when the order of expression is distorted. Man is supposed to function as: Spirit, Soul and Body, meaning our body being subjected to our soul and our soul being subjected to our Spirit.
But in this generation, the reverse is the case. Because of early exposure to our environment, we have been functioning, Body Soul and Spirit. WHY? Because we got Familiar too early and long enough with our physicality than our Spirituality.

This is why I do not blame the so called Intellectuals, who ignorantly speak of what they do not understand.

Intellectualism: has birthed many offspring which are fighting our generation, and the world at large, yet some see no wrong in this because they know not the first thing about their humanity.
The likes of; Academics, Philosophy, Psychology, Logic, Politics and so many more are the offspring of how MAN have over thousands of years exercied his Soulish intellect over his Spirit.

I was privileged to be in a sensitisation program one day, and there was a speaker addressing the audience on how to deal with the usage and abuse of drug. Fortunately, the chairs weren’t enough so I necessarily had to stand at the back with some other guys. The unconduciveness of the environment made me lost interest in the lecture.
So while I was discussing with other guys, I said to them that do they know that what the man is doing is wrong. They asked me: how? I then said that the way he is lecturing cannot help with what he wants to address.

He is “supposedly” sensitising people against the effects of drug usage and it’s abuse. But telling them what not to do. I said it is wrong, because as humans we are wired in the way that the very things we are told not to do, is what we always wish to do. Even the Bible affirms that: “where there be no law, there can be no sin“.

So I told him, he is supposed to combat the effects of drug which is more of a social problem with a greater institution, such as religion: Spirituality.

One of the problem of our society is that we have not identified or seen Spirituality as the institution laid down by God, which is superior to every other institutions to address the faults and inadequacies of our man-made society.
But the devil recognized this and has bastardized it and called it: Religion. That we no longer regard anything Spiritual to the extent of fighting it ourselves.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I want us to know that we have various institutions on earth, but I am putting forward to us, Culture and Intellectualism as a prototype to address these other institutions. And to let us know that the greatest of all is Spirituality.

The Bible addresses this in the book of Galatians 3 from verse 1-9
Apostle Paul was addressing to the Galatians Church in their consideration and adherence to Law.
In Gal. 2:12, Paul rebukuked Peter saying: For before that certain came from James, he did eat with the Gentiles: but when they were come, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing them which were of the circumcision.

Because Peter being a Christian ate with the gentiles, but when people were sent from the Jews, he withdrew from eating with them (1) so they would take no offense, (2) Because according to the laws of the Jews he wasn’t supposed to eat with the gentiles.

So Apostle Paul was in chapter 3 saying that, how can they be obeying it, or even considering the Law, if they had been saved by Faith.? Telling them that they have been saved by Faith and should in no means subject themselves to the Law.

In Our Generation of Today.
The Laws that we subject ourselves to are Culture, Intellectualism, Experiences, Advises amongst many others. If indeed we have been saved by FAITH, we are not supposed and not expected to subject ourselves to any dictates of these institutions, except that of our identity; SPIRITUALITY.
We must know the entailment of the DNA we carry and have believed. Because it is when our Spirituality starts striving with these institutions that we have Clashes in our souls which leads to depression and frustration or even irrational resolutions. BUT Thanks to God that we can renew our mind, our soul through the word.
