The SCRIBAL VOICE (Day 2)

Dear Jesus, we thank you for how far you did brought us yesterday to learn at your feet, we ask that as we engage you in the concluding aspect of this journey, that you without restrain call us deeper to that ministry of translating Your Heart to men. And that beyond any conception of ours, you bless us with utterance of the tongue and of the heart abundance… AMEN.

Yesterday, we were able to highlight some salient point about the ministry of a Scribe, today we would be trusting God to lead us deeper into that line. Hinging on (John 1: 23) He said: I AM, the voice of one crying in the wilderness, “make straight the way of the LORD”.

The lord began to teach me in my spirit this: and I would highlight it with an example. In this world that we are, there countless names of authors that have written different things, you and I are humanly not the first to want to write on whatever God is laying emphasis on in our spirits, neither would we be the last to write about them. The only difference is that of all the census of these authors, many have made name as best-selling authors, and many who have not made names have become a voice.

A very good example is this, when you see and read the writing of authors that have made name for themselves through hard work, as much as whatever they have to offer may be insightful, they would always have their perspective as the basis of whatever issues of life they have addressed in such works of theirs. But when you meet authors, Scribes who are not known by their name but by the Voice of their works, it always and most times speak life to people. And at such when our heart pants after God, we do not look for an author’s writing but our souls searches for their works that can satisfy our souls.

These kind of Scribes are what I refer to as the evergreen authors; who have by experience with God become a Voice and an Authority on certain affairs of Life. The likes of Papa Kenneth Hagin, Myles Munroe, Rick Warren (Purpose Driven Life), Rick Joyner (A prophetic Writer), amongst a host of others.

These kind of Scribes, know their place as a Voice and are not under any socio-economic pressure to show that they can write, neither do they write unless their King speak. These kind of Scribes are driven by a commission and that is to make known the Heart of God to the sons of men.

John knew these and that was why in (John 1:20-21) He was definite and precise with his answers to the Pharisees. When asked if he was Elijah, he replied he was not Elijah even though Jesus later established that John had come in the spirit and power of Elijah, when also asked if he was “the prophet”, he emphatically denied and said he was not. Why? Even though he was a prophet, he understood he was not the prophet, and also understood that beyond the confines of being a prophet that had accompanied his calling, he was much more than that; for a prophet declares the word of God to the people, but he John was not only declaring the words of God to the people, but also as a Voice was the conveyor of the words.

_______________________________________

I am someone who by virtue of discernment acknowledges talents and grace when I see them, I love it when people recognizes their treasures as deposited in them by God. But I am usually bittered when many under-manifest the grace of God that is resident in them. The devil (the prince of this age) has by the institutionalization of many academic platform and privileges disguised the ancient ministry of a Scribe and this is why many young Scribes are deceived thinking they are mere writers and societally pushing “news and reports of incidences and happenings” daily such that has continually inscribed fear, depression, negative dispositions and resolutions of the heart of people daily. And even born Scribes who are ignorant pursue this dream.

Permit and Forgive me to say that I have gotten to a point in my life where it may be hard for me as ‘a writer’ to work in any media house. This is because I have streamlined my perception and scope of life through the God-factor orientation. There was a day I wanted to write about Honour that what the world system was offering could not suffice for what my spirit wanted me to write. And another day when a friend of mine asked me to write about Core Value, I had to ask if it was academically, motivational, or spirituals.

Our SCRIBAL VOICE is pronounced on the strength of our heart stance and allegiance. This is why we must as Scribes come to that phase of knowing we are seated in Christ (the King) in heavenly places (in his palace), where as Scribes we write only what the King of the Kingdom of Light says… Because the King fails not in his words; SO LET IT BE WRITTEN, SO LET IT BE DONE.
