Dedicated to the children out there. The motherless, homeless and prodigal sons. May Christmas bring you good tidings.
I heard a knock on my door….
GBA! GBA! GBA!
I wonder who that could be,
Being a long night of cold
With silence everywhere aside the humming sounds of bees.
I shouted and looked out for the doors hold
Behold!
It was Jack!
Jack is a friend from the street.
His name is Sam
But I named him Jack.
Morning Jack!
Why all the freaks?
I couldn’t sleep!!
He said looking away.
Get out of my way
Your sleeplessness is my prob? Hun?
I’m sorry…. He spurt that out.
It’s almost Christmas
What do you think?
Instead of replying him,
I shut my door at him
Right there in my room
Now alone ruminating….
It’s almost Christmas
I said again to myself.
I’ve never for once thought of Christmas
Is it really a big deal?
Does it worth it?
Christmas?
A festival I supposed
Or An Annual day separated for fun!
Right there, I remembered the scriptures
“The true light was coming to the world
This is the light that gives light to the world
(John 1: 9)
Through him is our word enriched
For he is the word from the beginning.
Through him was all made
Nothing was made that wasn’t from him.
If Christmas was made to celebrate Christ,
Then how should it be done???
In a beautiful way!!!!
I shouted it so loud that my mum ran to meet me.
The Beautiful Christmas,
l must make it a day,
To give to the poor
To visit the unvisited in the mud
To reach out to the motherless
Render help to the helpless
To restore the prodigal sons
We were also helpless,
But God sent his only son.
Christmas is a Beautiful thing,
To be celebrated in a Beautiful way.
Just in the morning,
I went to meet Jack,
Apologized and told him my vision
This Christmas,
We will be touching lives!!!
Touching lives at Christmas
