Introduction to Kingdom Governance. and The EXECUTIVE AS KINGS
Still on our theme of the month Arms of governance, we shall be looking into the Legislature as Prophets. First I will like us to understand that the Kingdom of Heaven is not all about Heirachy, rather it majorly involves a Partnership. And for a perfect union or partnership, every sector has its role to play and this roles are well defined and stated. That’s why we have the different arms of government who performs different roles in a collaborative manner.
Now what is a Legislature? Wikipedia states that a legislature is a deliberative assembly with the authority to make laws for a political entity such as a country or state… Please mark deliberative, authority, make laws and entity. Legislatures also have this characteristics;
They deliberate , Have authority to make laws, They are observant, That are elected, They steer governing actions.
It’s no news that the Heavens is the Lord’s and the earth has bww given to Man. But the disobedience in the garden by Adam led to the temporary dethronement of man by the Devil and his agents.
This is why in Gen 3:15 God said:
AMP: And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her Offspring; He will bruise and tread your head underfoot, and you will lie in wait and bruise His heel.
To fulfil this prophecy, God had to partner with man to ensure this was possible. Why must He partner with Man? Because the earth is supposed to be conquered and ruled by Man and not angels, that was the intention from the beginning. Angels can only support in the administering of assignments here on earth but it is given unto man to conquer. So God began to search for a Man that could interface with Him by trust and believe and He found Abram.
Do you know, that the first time the term prophet was used in the Bible was in
Genesis 20:7AMP: So now restore to the man his wife, for he is a prophet, and he will pray for you and you will live. But if you do not restore her [to him], know that you shall surely die, you and all who are yours.
The man there was Abraham. To whom God promised that his Offspring shall be a blessing to the nations and by Him shall nations bless themselves. God even called him His friend and said that will I do anything and not tell my friend Abraham. Why? Because first Abraham submitted to the Lordship of God and believed him in totality.
Who then is a Prophet?
In religion, a prophet is an individual who is regarded as being in contact with a divine being and is said to speak on that entity’s behalf, serving as an intermediary with humanity by delivering messages or teachings from the supernatural source to other people. The message that the prophet conveys is called a prophecy.
Have you ever observed the NASS meetings in Nigeria, before the president is going to take a step or do anything, he will 1st report and present his plans to the Legislature who looks into the bills, pass it and then make moves to ensure that all that has been stated in the document are done accordingly without anything left out or else there will be a summoning. In the same way, prophets get forehand information of what the Lord is about to do, as they are privileged to communicate with Him as well as understand some spiritual laws as revealed unto them. To them have been given utterance to communicate it to people via words, songs, symbols and acts, they make laws and establish orders and are born for particular times and seasons.
Let’s take a critical look at Hosea 12:13 AMP: And by a prophet the Lord brought Israel out of Egypt, and by a prophet was [Israel] preserved.
The Lord foretold Abraham that his descendants shall spend 400years in the land of Egypt, after which they shall return to possess the Land he Promised unto them. When the 400 years was complete, it took the Lord to search for a prophet, to ensure that the next phase of the Kingdom agenda was established, that prophet was Moses. Moses did not only lead the Israelites out of Egypt, he was the one who, having spent 40 days upon the Mount Sinai, brought about the Law and establishment of the tabernacle and Ark of Covenant. He was an Intercessor, who set the dimension of a new Kingdom order upon the earth. If you will search the Scriptures well enough, you will discover that when a new Kingdom order is about to be established upon the earth, it is foretold by a prophet and as well established by Him. Hardly was there a nation on the earth who doesn’t depend on a man who understands divination. Let’s forget civilization, a man who can interface with the spirit is of high repute from time immemorial till date.
Deuteronomy 18 confirms that but establishes something:
14 AMP: For these nations whom you shall dispossess listen to soothsayers and diviners. But as for you, the Lord your God has not allowed you to do so.
15 AMP: The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet (Prophet) from the midst of your brethren like me [Moses]; to him you shall listen.
16 AMP: This is what you desired [and asked] of the Lord your God at Horeb on the day of the assembly when you said, Let me not hear again the voice of the Lord my God or see this great fire any more, lest I die.
17 AMP: And the Lord said to me, They have well said all that they have spoken.
18 AMP: I will raise up for them a prophet (Prophet) from among their brethren like you, and will put My words in his mouth; and he shall speak to them all that I command him.
19 AMP: And whoever will not hearken to My words which he shall speak in My name, I Myself will require it of him.
20 AMP: But the prophet who presumes to speak a word in My name which I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other gods, that same prophet shall die.
21 AMP: And if you say in your [minds and] hearts, How shall we know which words the Lord has not spoken?
22 AMP: When a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the word does not come to pass or prove true, that is a word which the Lord has not spoken. The prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him.
Now truly God sent prophets to Israel, male and female He sent them to His people and put His words in their mouth. They worked in partnership with God as the King and with the Priests as the judiciary, who interprets and plays the judge for the people. You can never find a prophet who is not intimate with God, because it is a ministry of intimacy. A relationship that must not be broken.
Nigeria is not growing fast a nation because we only have a disunited government body in the country where all arms of government don’t collaborate or unite for the people. They don’t even trust each other.
Do you know that the ministry of the prophet thrives on revelation, and you can’t receive that without a relationship with God. You cannot have a relationship with God without SUBMISSION to God, Never! Do you not know that Revelations 5 reveals that Jesus opened the scroll as a LAMB and not a Lion. Therefore it takes a man that Submits Himself to God that can receive Revelations. Revelations itself gives you the Authority to conquer gates and occupy territories.
Do you not know, that Jesus in Matthew 16:18 was talking about the Revelation as the Rock upon which He will build His Church and the gates of Hell will not prevail. This becuse the Gates will ask you just as it asked in Psalm 24, Who is this King of Glory? So if you don’t personally know the King of Glory, you are defeated. We can see here that there is a difference between Power and Authority. Power is based on Ability while Authority is based on Legality.
You might be an accurate prophet but still not genuine, in fact one can do many signs and wonders but still isn’t a prophet of the Lord. He/she only has the abilities of a prophet eg the young girl who talked about Paul and Silas and also the prophet of the Beast in Revelations, In fact I don’t listen to many again because you can prophesy by Default and still not be a genuine prophet cause there is no conformity to the ways of the true God. That is why it is a pity that many of our churches today just adorn anyone with the Title and not check the authenticity of the Mantle. This people have Power but on whose authority do they administer their duties, what entity are they representing? Without checking this things, many will run into errors. This was why John said we should test all spirits as Divination could be a duplicate of the prophetic. Devil is the father of counterfeits and will do anything to deceive even the very elects.
A look at this scripture we discover that God truly sent His Prophet, all the prophets talked about Him. If we observe the book of Malachi 4:5 God was specific about Elijah:
AMP: Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the great and terrible day of the Lord comes.
Notice the life of Elijah, He as well spent 40 days off to Mount Sinai, He as well parted the Jordan River with a mantle and was taken up to Heaven before returning as John the Baptist to prepare the Way for Grace to come into the World. This is to say, by a prophet came the Law and the establishment of its statutes, but by a prophet in another time and season came the paved way for the entry of Grace. A Look at what John himself said:
John1:23
AMP: He said, I am the voice of one crying aloud in the wilderness [the voice of one shouting in the desert], Prepare the way of the Lord [level, straighten out, the path of the Lord], as the prophet Isaiah said.
Luke 3:
4 AMP: As it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet, The voice of one crying in the wilderness [shouting in the desert]: Prepare the way of the Lord, make His beaten paths straight.
5 AMP: Every valley and ravine shall be filled up, and every mountain and hill shall be leveled; and the crooked places shall be made straight, and the rough roads shall be made smooth;
6 AMP: And all mankind shall see (behold and understand and at last acknowledge) the salvation of God (the deliverance from eternal death decreed by God).
Luke 3:5 and 6 reveals the task of the current day prophets. For the coming of the Lord, that is the duty of the prophets of this season. Yes we are all royal priesthood, but the fivefold ministry is also given to us, and the vital office of the prophets is highly needed and must be restored in all honesty.
In a Bicameral legislature we have the Upper chamber and the lower chamber, and one can belong to either of them based on the territory you cover. Remember that aside Elijah or Elisha in their times were also many prophets, even prophets of Baal who were also held in high esteem. You know we have to define who some people call Lord, cause Baal itself means Lord. And again many will call Lord Lord but will not make heaven; they will even be called workers of iniquity cause the Lord they called was Baal
As I was saying, the chamber you belong to depends on the territory you are responsible for and your capability to shoulder them. Now where you belong does not call for pride, it calls for RESPONSIBILITY, no man called of God must forget this fact. The day you become Irresponsible or Proud, you are Replaced. God wants to expand His Earthly Kingdom, He is still in the Business of calling Man but we lack men who are willing to partner with Him. The Spirit of Balaam is on the rise, many work for their Belly today.
The Devil is making use of the same pattern he used to tackle the Israelites when the propheta became drunk with wine alongside the priests and Kings and they were punished by God.
In our time, we must partner the Heavens and ensure that the Kingdom is enforced on earth. Men like Moses and Elijah shut the mouths of divinity, sorcery and false prophets in their time, they had Authority to establish new Kingdom order. They both had the privilege to stand with Jesus at the Mount of Transfiguration to serve as witness to the Lordship of Christ. God said in
Isaiah chapter 62:
6 AMP: I have set watchmen upon your walls, O Jerusalem, who will never hold their peace day or night; you who [are His servants and by your prayers] put the Lord in remembrance [of His promises], keep not silence,
7 AMP: And give Him no rest until He establishes Jerusalem and makes her a praise in the earth.
Ezekiel 3:17
AMP: Son of man, I have made you a watchman to the house of Israel; therefore hear the word at My mouth and give them warning from Me.
The King is expectant of His Legislature here on Earth to do His bidding, the harvest is here. Let us rise. Many are the promises of Salvation which many have not received, the World is in need of the Prophets who will present the cases of their territory to the Heavenly court for quick reply. God told Abraham in:
Genesis: 22:17 AMP: In blessing I will bless you and in multiplying I will multiply your descendants like the stars of the heavens and like the sand on the seashore. And your Seed (Heir) will possess the gate of His enemies,
18 AMP: And in your Seed [Christ] shall all the nations of the earth be blessed and [by Him] bless themselves, because you have heard and obeyed My voice.
For verse 18 to be fulfilled God raised the prophets like Jeremiah who He told ‘Before I formed you in the womb I knew [and] approved of you [as My chosen instrument], and before you were born I separated and set you apart, consecrating you; [and] I appointed you as a prophet to the nations’. Trust me, you are an elect of God for this particular purpose…… But we all need to submit ourselves to Him…..
Psalm 50:5: Gather together to Me My saints [those who have found grace in My sight], those who have made a covenant with Me by sacrifice. But the sacrifice God wants is not material, God wants you, Yes You!
Romans 12:1 AMP: I appeal to you therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of [all] the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies [presenting all your members and faculties] as a living sacrifice, holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship.
May God grant us Grace to submit and live in true partnership with Him in Jesus name…..
