So, I’ll be driving us through on today’s Teaching series : Kings and the their spiritual status quo in Governance.
I trust that much grace is ministered to us all as we combine our supplies as a Body from the Head of us all which is CHRIST. As we commence can we pray in the spirit for the next few seconds as we join forces together.
Read through the Introduction to Spiritual Governance for insight, if you haven’t read it.
As we forge as Kingdom ambassadors on Earth, one of the things we must “Allfirst understand is that LIFE IS SPIRITUAL.
There is always a spiritual relativity to every phenomenon we interphase with in this dimension of existence called Earth. Please follow on. I’m hitting at a point.
John 1:3-4
[3] All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
[4] In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
“All things”…. Here speaks of everything inanimate and animate that man interphases with constantly. Civilizations, Systems, Governments, processes, etc
Colossians 1:16-18
[16] For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
[17] And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
[18] And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
The scriptures mentions THRONES, DOMINIONS, PRINCIPALITIES and POWERS. What does that connote? Governance, rulership, Authority. A kingdom is a place or sphere of Domain and influence where an entity exercises authority and headship over (as it were), a people or subject. In that context, we can say The Kingdom of God is God’s sphere and dimension of Authority and Dominion over The Earth. Every Kingdom has its Civilization and its system of operation. It is from there that her Economy is birthed. Also, the Kingdom of God has it’s civilization and system of operation. All things aligns to its civilization and system.
1 Peter 2:9
[9] But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
In the Old Testament, there were KINGS and there were PRIESTS. Each office stood in isolation. Kings were usually ordained unto Men while Priests were ordained unto God. In the New Testament, Christ became a consumation of both in him. He was both a King and a Priest after the order of Melchizedek. The scriptures say that *”as He is so are we in this world”*.. ( paraphrased). Meaning we’re Both KINGS and PRIESTS. Now, I’ll be dwelling more on the Kingly aspect of us. Majorly it’s functionality Here and where we are at on Earth.
Revelation 1:5-6
[5] And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
[6] And hath made us KINGS and PRIESTS unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
Why are we Kings?
What’s our role as Kings on Earth?
The Bible says “It is the will of your Father to give you the Kingdom” (paraphrased) … Luke 12:32
We must understand that The Kingdom here speaks about The Kingdom of God of which we belong to. It is given to us. We are active participators/partakers of it. We share with God in the Kingly role. Jesus said “All power in Heaven and on Earth is given to me” If we are like Him, does it not also mean that All power in Heaven and on Earth belongs to us too? As Kings, our identity is not of this world but our functionality is in this world.
We have a territorial role. We are as much terrestrial and celestial in our functionality. The Bible says in Isaiah “The Government shall be upon his shoulders” That was a prophecy about Jesus, stating His Kingship stastusquo in governance. In like manner, The Government is supposed to be on our shoulders as new creations after the order of Christ. The problem with many of us is that we really do not know how indispensable we are as Kingly believers in the affairs of this world. We do not know how by decrees, we can determine the course of a territory.
Job 22:28
[28] Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.
Who makes decrees? KINGS
We must bear in our consciousness the reality of our Kingly identity everywhere we find ourselves. During the Monarchial form of government, a King has the power and authority to set laws in a land that affects the economy. Kings have the ability and authority to shift things in their cosmic environment only if you know That your functionality as a King is not limited to a “spiritual meeting” or in church as it were. You are not just a King, you are a KINGdom, because we carry it in us everywhere we go: Kings can appoint and disappoint, Kings can place and replace that is our functionality in Governance. That Nigeria is the way it is today is partly due to the fact that many SONS have not awaken into their Kingly functionality. There is power in our words. You shall decree a THING and it shall be established,
Do you know how valid that statement is? We really do not know that despite the fact that we run a democratic system of Governance in Nigeria, some Monarchs have more say in a territory than the political official in that territory or state. They cannot do anything in that territory without first consulting and seeking consent from the Monarch of that land. That is how powerful Kings are. If Earthly Kings command such power and influence, how much more Kings of the Kingdom of Zion. Offsprings of the great monarch himself. The King of Kings. Except we awake into the functionality of our Kingly identity, we cannot successfully conquer the systems and civilizations of this world the Church as a body has a very strong and indispensable influence in Governance and Politics but we are not aware of it.
Ephesians 1:19-23
[19] And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
[20] Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
[21] Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
[22] And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
[23] Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
(Emphasis on verses 22-23)
CHRIST is the Head over all things and by Extension, we share in that Headship as his Body. We’re his fullness, we embody him and so therefore we (with him) should fill all, every space. We dominate! Glory!
As I close I will like us to pray one prayer.
It looks very basic and regular but it’s very vital to our individual functionality in the Kingdom of God on Earth. As Kings the scripture says.. “All things are yours”. As Kings, we Possess and Dominate spheres. Let us confess; All things are mine. Say..
I possess and Dominate spheres,
I decree a thing and it’s established,
I create cosmic and territorial shifts with my words because in mouth of a King there is Power. Glory to God!
