MERCY: The Emphasis of Spiritual Strength.

Beloved of God, this is an admonishment of the Spirit in this season.

Oh! How wonderful it is for the church to provide us a solution in this time and season, a way of escape away from the sanctions and ban placed on gathering together. Such of which the scriptures in the book of Hebrews encourages us not to forsake. Indeed, should we then say that our government are defying the law of God. Well! Only you and I can independently answer that.

Speaking from a stand point of an average man who is in control of his affairs on earth, it is a necessary sanction or ban. The government in their words would justifiably argue that this (lockdown, ban on worship gatherings) definitely for our good. Speaking from a standpoint of serenity, anyone would not fault their stance. This is why the emphasis of this conversation is not on the government’s ban, nor is it to debate the presumption that the ban is a deliberate attack on the church, No! it is not. This conversation is to look beyond the surface and probe the genuine potency of the ban.

Romans {16:5} Likewise [greet] the church that is in their house. Salute my well beloved Epaenetus, who is the firstfruits of Achaia unto Christ.

Colossians {4:14} Luke, the beloved physician, and Demas, greet you. {4:15} Salute the brethren which are in Laodicea, and Nymphas, and the church which is in his house.

Apostle Paul in his letters, such of which is exemplified in the above scriptures speaks of the church, but with an emphasis that the church was not a building, but a people that met in a building. “… the church that is in their house. … & …and the church which is in his house… ” it is worthy of note that the brilliance of a student is not tested in the comfort of the four walls of the class room, in the company of the teacher’s teachings. But tested in the atmosphere of examination. When the result of the independence of the teacher’s presence is resonated, then an evaluation can come forth to declare if a child is brilliant with or without the influence of the school.

Such is the cry of this season. The spirit of God is laying emphasis and pointing our attention to the humility of a church, conveyed not in the ambiance of large gatherings or weekly religious activities, or of a church within the context of physical structural location. But of a church united at heart for the engendering of divine counsel.

The emphasis of the spirit in this season is MERCY. Not of them that have necessarily done wrong, nor of a bias disposition of preservation. But of humility, mercy away from the pride of spiritual stature. Indeed the earth and the church is at war, one could choose to be defensive and choose the side walk of trusting in divine preservation, but beyond this, one could also take an offensive part in this war, by not sitting on the walls of confidence of not being affected, but of the offensive of displacing the enemy from the territorial locations of genuine gathering if the church.
That in every house that the church meets, every gathering that encompasses the church, such territory disposes off the arms of darkness, the possibility of being affected, not because of safety precautions, of by the dogged adherence to medical approaches, but because of the presence of the church. Whether we like it or not, whether we know it or not, the church has a voice, and until the church steps out of her functional right of dominion by kingship and subscribe to have dominion by her intercessory office of priesthood, the ground may not be gained.

How do you explain that men tests positive at a time, and in the next week, they test negative. The logic of science teaches that when a person is infected of a disease, it could be said to have gone if the person were to have been cured. And of this disease, a cure has not been provided, indeed science may have its jargon and definite terminologies to explain this, but I suppose this is a scheme to introduce the church and the world to the mockery of science in this time and season.
How do you congregate the various theories and presumptions that have been proposed as the cause and origin for the pandemic, some say it is a conspiracy, some say it is of a 5G network, some say it broke out from animals, some say it was developed.

But of all the said and propounded, one thing is sure; there is still no cure, but men have been recovering. The probable and available explanation that we constantly want o avoid is that: it is a Miracle. Yes! A miracle by the monarch of Zion to disappoint the arms of flesh, that no man may be able to glory in anything.

As a church, our spiritual strength in this season is not and should not be on how many of our denominational weekly service we can try to keep up with via online services, some of which many individuals are disinterested in. Or should it solely be in the fact that we have a promise of being saved ad preserved, nor of spiritual arrogance of how much of the hand of the spirit we can move via our delegated powers. But of complete humility, how much of our functional negligence we have realized and how much of Gods face we want to be imprinted on the territories of the nations. It should be on the MERCIES OF GOD.

The emphasis of our spiritual strength should be that we know that when we humble ourselves and ask the father for mercy, he will forgive our sin and heal our Land. This is why we almost do not know what to pray for in this season other than mercy. Because that is the emphasis of the spirit.
